Performance
The Chevrolet Colorado is equipped standard with a 2.7L Turbo engine that delivers 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and your choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive capabilities. A more powerful TurboMax engine with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque is optional on the WT and LT trims and also standard starting on the Trail Boss trim. While the standard 2.7L engine has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, the Z71 and Trail Boss trims are both capable of hauling up to 7,700 pounds.
Interior and Exterior Design
No matter which trim you choose, the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado is available in the same four-door crew cab design with seating capacity for five people and a 5-foot 1-inch bed attached. The exterior design incorporates automatic on/off halogen headlights and halogen daytime running lights, power-adjustable mirrors, deep-tinted privacy glass, and 17-inch ultra silver metallic steel wheels. The single-zone climate control, cloth upholstery, and manually adjustable front seats inside the cabin provide an extra degree of comfort to pair with the rugged design. Optional features include a segment-first stowflex tailgate, cargo bed LED lighting, cargo tie-down rings, and a skid plate package. A power sunroof is also available for purchase on most trims.
Technology and Features
An 11.3-inch LCD display is built into the center dashboard with advanced Google services, voice-activated technology, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, while an 11-inch driver information center incorporates driver personalization features, warning messages, and vehicle information into an easily readable screen with three distinct themes to choose from. The standard OnStar Remote Access Plan lets you control remote vehicle functions and check fuel level and tire pressure directly from your smartphone. A three-month platinum trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio also comes standard.
Safety
The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado incorporates a forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, following distance indicator, lane keep assist and lane departure warning, and HD rear vision camera to keep you safe from harm. Both regular cruise control and adaptive cruise control are also available to purchase. Up to 10 available camera views are included to assist you with driving and trailering.
Trim Levels
Customers have the ability to choose between five different trims.
- The WT is the most affordable standard workhorse available in the lineup.
- The LT trim adds a wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry and start, remote locking tailgate, body-color front fascia and door handles, 17-inch argent metallic aluminum wheels, and jet black interior with bright silver accents.
- The Trail Boss adds an off-road performance display, four selectable drive modes, two-speed auto transfer case and shield, 2-inch factory-installed lift, and 18-inch high gloss black aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires.
- The Z71 adds full LED headlights, tail lights, and fog lights, a 120-volt box-mounted power outlet, and cloth and Evotex seat upholstery for extra comfort. Ventilated front seats are also available.
- The ZR2 adds five selectable drive modes, multimatic DSSV dampers, a 3-inch factory-installed lift and high-performance suspension, dual-zone automatic climate control, standard cruise control, and 17-inch wheels with 33-inch OD MT tires. An optional rugged ZR2 Bison Edition adds heavy-duty AEV parts, including skid plates, rear stamped steel bumper, wheel flares, and more. Heated front seats and a Bose premium audio system are also available for purchase.
